Executive Functions

In 2002, an Executive Division was formed
as part of a major CCSD reorganization. All
department heads, including Utilities, Fire,
Administration, and Engineering, report to the
General Manager. The District Clerk also reports
to the General Manager as well as the Board
of Directors.
 
The primary role of the Executive Division is
to maintain and advance District operations
and implement those policies, strategies and
directives as approved by the CCSD Board
of Directors. As the executive staff officer, the
general manager supervises all operations and
provides day-to-day leadership of the District.
The general manager also directs the activities
of all District employees, facilitates constructive
Board relations, develops and manages the
District budget, and conducts special studies as needed.
