MAJOR PROGRESS ON BIOSOLIDS DEWATERING PROJECT

Major progress has been made by CCSD staff on the construction of the Biosolids Dewatering Facility. Staff is currently producing 19% biosolids by hand, but will shift to full-time automatic mode in approximately one week to increase dewatering output. Inhouse construction saved the CCSD more than $1 million, not including substantial savings in ongoing waste transportation costs. Staff will make a detailed presentation at the July 24 CCSD Board meeting. |
