Daniel McCrain, Captain Paramedic
Captain Daniel McCrain was born at Fresno Community Hospital on June 16, 1975. He grew up in Oakhurst California and began his Fire service career with Madera County Fire Department as a Paid Call Firefighter in 1994. He attended the Fresno City College fire academy and graduated top of the class in class #3. He worked 5 seasons with the US Forest Service on a wildland engine in the Sierra National Forest. He also worked as an EMT and became a Paramedic in 2002 with Sierra Ambulance Service in Oakhurst, CA. Once he moved to the central coast, he became employed with San Luis Ambulance, then he became the Operations Director for the Cambria Community Healthcare District in 2010. He has been employed with the Cambria Fire Department since 2009 as a Reserve Firefighter and Engineer until his promotion to Captain. He lives in Paso Robles with his wife Stephanie and two daughters Madison and Louie.
