11/27/2024: A Thanksgiving Message from the Fire Chief
Dear Cambrians,
As we gather to celebrate Thanksgiving with family and friends, I want to take a moment to express my gratitude to each and every one of you. It is a privilege to serve this community, and I am deeply thankful for the trust you place in us every day.
While you’re enjoying the warmth of your home, the company of loved ones, and a delicious meal, please remember that your fire department is here for you—24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including throughout the holiday season. We are always ready to respond to any emergency, big or small, so you can focus on the things that matter most.
This time of year can bring a lot of joy, but it also brings additional safety risks. I encourage everyone to take a moment to review safety precautions in the kitchen, around the home, and when traveling. Whether you’re cooking a holiday feast, lighting candles, or decorating, a little extra care goes a long way in preventing accidents and keeping everyone safe.
As we all take time to reflect on our blessings this Thanksgiving, please know that your fire department is here to keep you safe, no matter the season.
Wishing you and your loved ones a very Happy Thanksgiving. Stay safe, stay warm, and enjoy the holiday to its fullest.
With gratitude,
Michael Burkey
