7/3/2025 Fourth of July Message from the General Manager
Dear Cambrians,
Fireworks Are Illegal in Cambria — Keep Our Community Safe
As Independence Day approaches, the Cambria Community Services District and Cambria Fire Department reminds everyone that all fireworks are illegal in Cambria. This includes “safe and sane” fireworks, sparklers, firecrackers, and aerials.
Violations may result in fines and enforcement action — and pose a serious wildfire risk.
Cambria is surrounded by dry, flammable vegetation. One spark can cause a wildfire that threatens homes, lives, and natural areas.
Celebrate Safely:
- Attend permitted fireworks shows in nearby cities.
- Use safe alternatives like glow sticks or light displays.
- Keep your property clear of dry brush and flammable material.
To report illegal fireworks, call the Cambria Fire Department’s non-emergency line at (805) 927-6240 or dial 911 in case of fire.
Thank you for helping keep Cambria safe and fire-free this Fourth of July.
Sincerely,
Matthew McElhenie
