We’re thrilled to announce that, effective January 1, 2026, Cambria Community Services District will be moving our Dental and Vision coverage from Ameritas to MetLife!

What’s Changing

• Lower Monthly Payroll Deductions: Employees will see a reduction in their per-pay-period costs for Dental and Vision coverage.
• Flexibility to Enroll in Dental or Vision: MetLife allows you to enroll in just Dental, just Vision, or both!
• Dental In Network Experience: MetLife has a strong dental network in San Luis Obispo County, widely used by local public agencies and employers, giving employees access to many trusted dental and vision providers.
• Dental Out of Network Experience: MetLife’s out-of-network dental benefits mirror the in-network experience, and many providers can process claims at the point of service to reduce upfront costs.
• Enhanced Vision Benefits: Instead of paying in full and waiting for reimbursement, you now pay only $5 for an exam and receive a $250 frame or contact lens allowance with broad provider options.
