At at 2:15 pm, the Cambria CSD Fire Department was dispatched to a report of a vehicle accident near 6530 Moonstone Beach Drive. Cambria CSD Fire Department Medic Engine 5792 and Chief 5700 responded with Cal Fire also responding mutual aid to assist. The Cambria Community Healthcare District Ambulance, Sheriff’s Department, and CHP also responded to the incident. Units on scene reported one vehicle off the roadway, onto the boardwalk, and into a tree. The driver had minor to moderate injuries and a pedestrian that was clipped by the vehicle, reported minor injuries. Fire and ambulance personnel treated the patients on scene and law enforcement took over the investigation into the cause. Cambria CSD Fire Department would like to take this opportunity to remind everyone to drive with extra caution during these winter weather patterns. Recent storms and anticipated weather systems are making the roadways very slippery and it’s imperatative that all drivers reduce their rate of speed.
