When water service is restored, you may need to flush your service for a few minutes until water runs clear. You may also observe CCSD staff flushing system lines using fire hydrants. While it may appear to be wasteful, flushing is the most effective way to keep our drinking water safe and clean. Crews conducting the flushing keep careful records of the amount of water that is flushed through the lines. Therefore, this water isaccounted for and tracked along with other uses of water.
