Cambria CSD Fire Department Announces SAFER Firefighter Paramedic Appointments
In September, the Cambria CSD Fire Department was awarded the SAFER (Staffing for Adequate Fire and Emergency Response) grant from FEMA which funds hiring three full-time Firefighter Paramedics for a period of three years and will add a fourth person on the engine to increase staffing. The hiring of three full-time Firefighter Paramedics is fully funded, with no match required from the receiving agency.
The Cambria CSD Fire Department recently held SAFER Firefighter Paramedic interviews and assessments and we are thrilled to announce that Reserve Firefighters Benjamin Shank, Christian Evers and Clifford Elgin have been chosen to fill the SAFER Firefighter Paramedic positions. Congratulations Ben, Christian & Cliff!
