On November 18, 2021 during the CCSD Board of Directors regular meeting, the Cambria Fire Department acknowledged the recent promotions of Fire Captain Paramedic Michael Burkey & Fire Engineer Paramedic Kayla Graves. Chief administered their oath of office and both received their badges and lapel pins from their spouses. Congratulations, Michael & Kayla!
On November 18, 2021, Cambria Firefighters visited Cambria Grammar School students and educated them about fire safety. They discussed fire prevention tips, showed students what a firefighter looks and sounds like in their personal protective equipment, reminded students about dialing 911 for emergencies and demonstrated stop, drop & roll. Students also toured ME5792.
On November 12, 2021, Cambria Firefighters visited Cambria Grammar School students and educated them about fire safety.
On November 8, 2021, the Cambria Fire Department, CAL FIRE & Cambria Healthcare District participated in ocean rescue training with a RWC (rescue water craft or a fancy acronym for a rescue jet ski). This training is vital, as it is part of the North Coast Ocean Rescue Response Plan.

The Cambria Fire Department will be accepting non-perishable, unexpired food items and new unwrapped toys at the Fire Department's front door from October 11, 2021 through December 17, 2021. The Season of Hope partners will work with local food banks and toy agencies to distribute the items to local residents in need.
