Potential PSPS Scheduled for Thursday, October 15, 2026

PG&E has issued a Public Safety Power Shutoff Watch for portions of San Luis Obispo County that could potentially affect around 10,460 customers. This area includes parts of many communities including downtown SLO, Cal Poly, parts of Cambria, Atascadero, Cal Valley, rural Santa Margarita, Morro Bay and other areas.

A list of County meters in the scope is posted below.

The image shows a map of San Luis Obispo and surrounding areas with highlighted orange regions, possibly indicating specific zoning or land use data.

The PSPS is projected to start on Thursday 10/15/2026 with power going off between 2:30 am and 12 noon. Power restoration is estimated to be by Saturday October 17th at 8:00 pm.

A Watch is issued when outages are likely but it is not a guarantee the PSPS will occur. Visit PG&E's PSPS page for information about PSPS outages.
