Following the recent boil water notice, it’s essential that everyone stay prepared and ready in the event of an emergency. Whether you’re a full-time resident or a vacation rental guest, please take the following steps to keep yourself, your household, and our community safe.

Get a Free Home Risk Assessment

The American Red Cross offers a free personal home risk assessment, including defensible space, emergency preparedness, and smoke alarm checks and/or installations.

Create a “Go Bag”

Prepare a bag of essentials for each member of your household (including pets) in case you need to evacuate quickly. Pack items now so you’re ready at a moment’s notice.

Assemble a “Stay Box”

Be prepared to shelter in place for 5–7 days by gathering:

  • Food and water
  • Extra medications and medical supplies
  • Pet supplies
  • A plan to turn off gas and water if necessary
